En 1904, l'architecte Paul Hamesse, ancien collaborateur de Paul Hankar, fut chargé par la famille Cohn-Donnay de transformer et réaménager cet immeuble datant de 1830. Il modifia la façade néoclassique en ajoutant un bow-window au graphisme géométrique. À l'intérieur, l'architecte allia les différentes tendances de l'Art nouveau. On retrouve des éléments empruntés à l'école de Glasgow, à la Sécession viennoise et certains motifs annoncent déjà l'Art déco. Aujourd'hui brasserie restaurant « De Ultieme Hallucinatie », le bâtiment a conservé la plupart de ses décors de 1904.
